There are currently no official rules for two-handed vs. one-handed weapons and items in the core rulebook of the Heyoka game, which means individual game masters can set things as they wish for their own style. However, as a Game Master for Heyoka, this is how I generally run things in my own game. One-Handed Weapons Melee weapons up to the size of Long Weapons (+3d6 damage or less), Ranged Weapons up to the size of Medium Weapons (+2d6 damage or less), and any and all types of Shields - I consider to be one-handed weapons and items. Additionally a torch or item like a potion would take up one-hand when in use. If a character is using a two-handed weapon or item, they cannot also be using a shield to block incoming attacks. Two-Handed WeaponsMelee weapons equal to or larger than Heavy Weapons (+4d6 damage or more), Ranged Weapons up to the size of Heavy Weapons or larger (+3d6 damage or more), and other objects, such as a Portable Ram, would require use of both hands and a character cannot use a shield or other weapon while using them.
